Financial Accountant

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a fast paced Accounting Team that has recently experienced a period of change. The role reports into the Senior Financial Accountant and is responsible for assisting in the production of the monthly management accounts.

Role & Responsibilities
·    Preparing and posting monthly prepayments, accruals journals and daily postings
·    Preparation and posting income accruals and deferrals
·    Calculating and posting fixed asset additions/disposals and depreciation
·    Processing journals prepared by the Regional Finance Controllers as part of month end
·    Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for review and arranging remedial actions
·    Support cash management by processing payments and undertaking bank reconciliations
·    Support the Senior Financial Accountant with the VAT and PAYE returns
·    Working closely with other teams to ensure that accruals and prepayments are accurate
·    Work at a high standard of accuracy, whilst working at pace
·    Assist in preparation for annual statutory audit and financial statements
·    Assisting with preparation of financial information as required
·    Undertake ad-hoc work as required by the Senior Financial Accountant

Qualifications & Experience
·    Demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role
·    Working towards an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
·    Demonstrate willingness to exceed expectations and to develop
·    Demonstrates a flexible, can do approach in the workplace
·    Strong user of Microsoft Excel
