Health Care Assistant
Primecare health care services are a leading provider of healthcare services across the UK, working closely with NHS Trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups and other Public and private sector organisations to provide people with access to scheduled and unscheduled healthcare services they need, when they need them.
A position has arisen in Primecare for a Health Care Assistant which will be based from our Walsall Urgent Care Centre. The position will be 24 hours per week covering the following days/times -
Mondays - 16:00-20:30
Tuesdays - 08:00-12:00
Wednesdays - 08:00-12:30
Sundays - 08:00-20:00
Reporting to the Lead Nurse, the Health Care Assistant is responsible for delivering fundamental practice nursing services to the patient population. Supported by senior nurses and GPs within the Health Urgent Care Centre; the Health Care Assistant will deliver care within the boundaries of their role, focusing on patient health, monitoring long term conditions, health promotion and screening activities. The job holder will work collaboratively with the team to meet the needs of patients. Working to specific guidelines and protocols they will be supported to deliver a range of treatments, dressings and baseline observations.
The Ideal Candidate will have knowledge of health and clinical governance and be qualified to NVQ Level 3.
