Senior Financial Accountant

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join and shape a fast-paced Accounting Team that has recently experienced a period of change. The role is the lead role in a team of three and reports into the Financial Controller. The team is responsible for carrying out the daily accounting activities, cash management and producing the monthly management accounts.

Role & Responsibilities
·    Responsible for producing the monthly management accounts, with analysis of key variances
·    Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and asset registers
·    Calculate, submit and settle the quarterly VAT and monthly PAYE returns
·    Review financial controls and undertake continuous improvement
·    Undertake banking activities and produce regular cashflow forecasts
·    Monthly reconciliations of intercompany balances with other group companies
·    Assist in the preparation and production of the Statutory Accounts and Tax Computations
·    Recommend and implement improvements to process, policy and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience
·    Qualified accountant with experience of working in a fast paced organisation
·    Experience of leading and organising a Financial Accounting team
·    Experience of identifying and delivering processes improvements
·    Excellent technical and Microsoft Excel skills
