Out of Hour General Practitioner – Primecare Herefordshire

Primecare healthcare services is one of the leading providers of healthcare across the UK, working closely with NHS Trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups and other public and private sector organisations.
In Herefordshire, we provide Out-of-Hours Primary Care at various locations across the county and are looking for exceptional individuals (on a Consultancy/Locum basis) to join us and deliver the best possible care for our patients.

We provide patients with access to scheduled and unscheduled primary care, providing ‘the right care, in the right place and at the right time' and currently have vacancies for resourceful and enthusiastic General Practitioners (GP’s).

Our current service provision covers three distinct areas; Primary Care Centres (PCC’s), Mobile Service and Telephone Triage.

•    We have three peripheral PCC’s in Herefordshire at Ross-on-Wye, Leominster and Kington (operate at weekends and bank holidays).
•    Our main PCC is based at Hereford County Hospital (Oxford Suite) and is open from 19:00 to 23:00 daily and 08:00 to 23:00 at weekends and bank holidays.
•    The Mobile Service operates at the similar times to the PCC’s.
•    Our Telephone Triage sessions can be home or PCC based.
•    We also provide an ‘overnight service’ where are GP’s will undertake Telephone Triage, Mobile Service and undertake agreed urgent PCC appointments (known as Tri-Role).

At all times during the operation, you will be supported by an experienced Driver/Receptionist who will ensure your session has everything you need, such as access to ADASTRA, adequate medications, practical support and consumables. These key staff will act as your chaperone, if required.

A full and detailed induction will be arranged to suit your needs and access to a senior Clinical On-Call for support.

As we have a strong focus on learning and continuous improvement, all Primecare staff, both Clinical & non-Clinical have access to and is required to undertake on-line training.
